週末スナックとカラフル麺 - Sunday Snacks - |
図書館で偶然見つけた、ヘレネ デュジャルダン という料理写真家の本に
自然光での逆光撮影の紹介があり、早速練習。
I happened to find a book by Helene Dujardin , a food photographer.
She introduced me to a backlit technique using a natural light.
So I gave it a go and the following photo is the result.
さて写真のランチ。南アフリカのチリソースを塗ったジャーマンライブレッドに
ゴルゴンゾーラを乗せたら、後はチリワインでまったり週末の簡単ランチ完成。
The lunch here is a slice of German rye bread spread with South African
chilli sauce underneath Gorgonzola. A glass of Chilean wine completed
my simple lunch - perfect for a relaxing weekend at home.
夜はエッグヌードルに野菜がたっぷり、クリス作のコチラ。
元々はミシュランシェフ、レイモンド ブランの、ある レシピ を試そうとした所
青パパイヤが手に入らず、普通のパパイヤを使って偶然出来てしまった一品。
その後色々なバージョンを試して、元々の料理とは全く別ものの一皿に。
熱々の鍋で卵麺を炒め、醤油でジュッと味付け。これが実に美味しい!
一番好きなアレンジはマンゴーをのせて、ライムをたっぷり搾ったタイプ。
今回は野菜とナッツ類のみ。

Chris cooked this egg-noodle salad for tea.
He got the idea from a dish by Michelin chef, Raymond Blanc.
This was created by chance as a totally different dish from
the original one using ordinary papaya because green
papaya was not available. We've tried lots of versions, some using
peaches and mango, and it has become one of our regular dishes.
Egg noodles are fried in a piping hot wok, then soy sauce is
added; I just can't get enough of it - so delicious.
My favourite version is the one with fresh mango and lots of
squeezed lime juice. This one was just with vegetables and nuts.
